The Molecular Property Spectrometer™ (MPS™) enables a host of industrial applications in research and development, process optimization and monitoring, and environmental compliance. For example, monitoring air quality near factories and industrial complexes, such as chemical and petroleum processing plants, ensures the day-to-day effectiveness of exhaust scrubbing systems and confirms compliance with governmental regulations to maintain a safe environment for employees and neighboring residents. The unique ability of the MPS™ to target a broad spectrum of analytes specific to industrial processing – including hazardous effluents, trace metals, and toxic industrial chemicals (TICs) – in a distributed, low-cost sensor matrix, enables such applications. In the event of a leak, the same matrix can be used to pinpoint the source as well as guide an organized evacuation and mitigation effort.
