Uses Within Agriculture

Sensors for growth, harvest, and delivery of fresh produce

NevadaNano’s Molecular Property Spectrometer™ (MPS™) technology can be used to measure fruit and produce ripeness. This provides a valuable tool for farmers, food brokers, distributors, and consumers by accelerating the delivery of produce nearing its prime. This way, fruit gets to market at the best time in its ripeness cycle and doesn’t go to waste as spoilage.

The MPS™ can also be deployed in the field to monitor crop health and maturity levels, as well as critical environmental conditions. Lastly, the MPS™ can be deployed throughout the food product chain–from harvesting to point-of-purchase–to detect unhealthy levels of contaminants.

In agriculture, digital scent provided by the MPS™ will improve quality, reduce spoilage and make consumers safer.
